Many of you have heard this question and have different thoughts on using
virtualization in cloud. While some professionals say that virtualization is
not mandatory for cloud and other say that Virtualization is the base for
cloud. I am trying to answer the above question by providing a rationale for
using virtualization in cloud.
Before entering into a debate, let me explain Virtualization concept in
simple terminology.
Server Virtualization OS segregates the interaction between hardware and OS.
This will help us to keep independent OSs above a single hardware. The
resource management will be taken care by virtualization OS.
Resource pool is concepts inside the virtualization layer which will help to
combine the resources (Memory and CPU) from multiple hardware's and show that
as single unit to Guest OS (VM). Many virtualized servers can be added under
one virtual... (more)
Cloud impact on developers
In one of our cloud presentations, we were inspired with the question, "You
are talking a lot about cloud but how will it impact me as a developer?" I
have managed to answer that question. But then I realized that this is a
question that is on many of developers' minds.
That gave me a spark to write this article. This article will provide an
overview of the impact of cloud computing on developers and it is purely from
developer's standpoint.
Adoption in the upcoming cloud world is inevitable. So we need to be aware of
how it will impact us and in what w... (more)
Everyone is talking about cloud and they want to implement the same in their
companies. CIOs are the first people who will get the work on this new
initiative or change. This article will give them the quick overviews on what
all are the factors needs to be considered during cloud movement.
Nowadays companies can consider the option to go with cloud for its internal
application infrastructure as it has many positives. The high-level cloud is
a very good and emerging technology with more benefits, but in real-time it
requires more analysis and study on certain factors.
We needs to... (more)
